As soon as Angel aged out of foster care, she began couch surfing. She had to. Finding an affordable apartment or a roommate to share one with was a challenge. But that didn’t stop Angel from having bigger plans for herself.

In fact, she's on her way to a personally and financially fulfilling career as a Certified Nursing Assistant Associate!

Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to offer Angel a scholarship to offset the cost of her CNA program. CNAs play a critical role in the healthcare sector. They manage patient activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting, as well as taking and recording vital signs. The program requires approximately 60 hours of classroom instruction, 100 practicum hours, and passing a state exam.

Soon, Angel will earn a starting salary of approximately $20/hour, with significant room for career growth. She has her eyes set on moving into her own place, and thanks to you, that dream will soon become a reality!
