FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS BY CLIENTS
Can you help me find housing?
Yes! Unity Care has worked directly with transition-aged youth for over 30 years. We follow a housing-first approach, which means that we prioritize finding you housing above all else. We may offer you housing at one of our five housing sites or connect you with one of our Housing Specialists, who can help you find a place.
What type of help can I expect to receive?
From the start, we will treat you with dignity and respect. We listen to your needs, help you assess your priorities, and then work to build a plan for success. At Unity Care, you’ll always be offered the following:
Housing: At one of our five housing sites or through a lease partnership
Education: Completing your GED or HS Diploma, exploring educational pathways, and enrolling in post-secondary education
Employment: Helping you prepare for the workforce by learning hard and soft skills that help you secure paid employment
Mental Health: Access to mental health services provided in-house or through referrals, depending on where you are located
Financial Literacy: Guidance around monthly budgeting, saving for small and big things, building good credit, and having a healthy relationship with money.
