Outpatient Mental Health Clinic

Unity Care operates an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic for youth who are entering, residing in, or transitioning from Unity Care residential treatment services who display serious emotional disturbances that negatively impact their ability to function in day-to-day life. Clinic services are designed to alleviate and reduce the symptoms of mental health problems while the individual receives other non-mental health services from Unity Care to address independent living, education, and social development. Services are also provided for families and caregivers of the youth.

A team of Clinicians and Case Managers work closely with the child and or/families to evaluate and develop a treatment plan to meet their unique needs. All services use evidence-based treatment models that include A-CRA, CBT and DBT.

Mental health services are provided in partnership with Residential, TBS and Wraparound services to complement an integrated care plan. The plan is family driven according to Transformational Care Planning model. Other evidence-based treatment may draw from system work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. Services are individualized and consider each person's age, maturational level, culture, family values and structure, educational functioning level and physical health.
