Unity Care offers excellent fieldwork placement and training opportunities for BSW/MSW interns and MFT Trainees currently enrolled in a graduate level program. Internships are most appropriate for entry to intermediate-level students who already have some exposure to clinical populations and direct work with clients.
Unity Care offers a wide variety of fieldwork placements including: residential group homes, school-based services, therapeutic behavioral services, outpatient mental health clinic and wraparound programs; all dedicated to serving at-risk and underserved foster children and their families throughout Northern California Bay Area communities. Programs are based in Santa Clara and Placer Counties.
In order to establish therapeutic relationships with our youth and families, we require a nine to ten month commitment (12-16 hours per week) from all students; beginning in the Fall of each year and continuing through to the Spring of the following year.
