Your generosity each year demonstrates the community's commitment to at-risk youth, foster youth, former foster youth and the families and friends that support them. Your support as well as your belief in Unity Care's mission has helped us to change lives one child at a time for the past 17 years.
All gifts, regardless of size, make a tremendous impact on the quality of Unity Care's programs while ensuring that the youth and families that we serve will continue to receive the services they so desperately need.
Make A Difference
You can make a difference in the lives of our youth and families! Unity Care is committed to keeping pace with the changing needs of our youth and our community. You can ensure this happens by making a gift to support one of our many youth and family programs! Your donation will help provide funds for recruiting and retaining exceptional staff, enhancing our residential and mental health programs, increasing financial support to youth attending college, and ensuring that Unity Care has the funding necessary to support new and emerging programs. Your contributions will not only strengthen Unity Care's position as one of the leading youth-serving organizations in the Bay Area, but it will also help secure the future for our youth.
Cash Gifts
Of the many ways to give to Unity Care, most donors choose cash and cash equivalents, whether as annual gifts, a one-time gift, or a gift pledged over a period of years. Gifts of cash are the most immediate way to support Unity Care's important work. Your gift can be immediately put to use to help the many youth and families that we serve.
Matching Gifts
Thousands of companies and corporate foundations match the gifts of their employees to nonprofit organizations such as Unity Care Group. A matching gift can double, sometimes triple, the value of your gift, while supporting the same program(s) that you support, and are credited to you. If your company has a matching gift program, request a matching gift form from your employer and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest.
Commemorative Gifts
A gift "in memory of" or "in honor of" a friend or loved one is more than an expression of love and respect. You may even want to create a fund in someone's name. It may be a one-time gift or you and others can contribute to the fund annually. No matter how you choose to designate your commemorative gift; remember, one of the most meaningful ways to honor a life that you cherished is by making a gift that continues to benefit others in their memory.
Gift Cards
One of the most helpful ways to assist Unity Care in meeting the basic needs of our clients is through the donation of gift cards. Gift Cards help us to provide for the basic needs of our clients; promote positive family activities; and allow us to provide foster youth with opportunities to interact with their friends in regular community settings. Unity Care is always in need of gift cards to local retailers for the following items:
Donate In-Kind Gifts
In addition to cash gifts, Unity Care is always in need of in-kind gifts of goods or services to help decrease our overhead costs allowing us to use more of our cash gifts in areas of most critical need.
Examples of in-kind gifts include:
- Household & Office Supplies, Furniture & Electronics: Dishes, linens, comforters, personal care items, sofas, love seats, computers, software, furniture, pens, paper, etc.
- Janitorial & Maintenance Supplies: Tools, cleaning supplies, home repair materials, etc.
Volunteer (In-Kind Services)
Unity Care has volunteer opportunities available throughout the year. Volunteer assistance is always needed in the following areas:
- Administrative Support: Filing, copying, data entry, answering phones, research, etc.
- Professional Services: Legal, tax, or business advice, marketing, strategic planning, fundraising, etc.

Gift Recognition Program
Unity Care's Gift Recognition Program was developed to honor donors who contribute $100 or more annually to support our programs and services. Members of our Gift Recognition Programs are dedicated to the enhancement of Unity Care's services and programs by providing financial support to the areas of greatest impact. Unity Care is proud to have members of these distinguished groups join us in our commitment to excellence and to changing lives. Become a member of our Gift Recognition Program today.
- Unity Care Sponsor – Gift of $10,000 or more Provide an Annual Sponsorship of a Unity Care Event or Program to create a lifelong partnership to support, heal and inspire the at-risk youth and families we serve.
- Unity Care Community Builder – Gift of $5,000 – $9,999: Help Unity Care build and expand our programs and services to change even more lives.Legal, tax, or business advice, marketing, strategic planning, fundraising, etc.
- Unity Care Advocate – Gift of $1,000 - $4,999: Help Unity Care in its efforts to advocate for more quality, culturally-appropriate programs for underserved youth and families.
- Unity Care Mentor – Gift of $500 - $999: Help Unity Care provide mentorship opportunities for the youth and families that we serve.
- Unity Care Supporter – Gift of $100 - $499: Help Unity Care support the basic needs of foster youth by providing clothing, meals, housing and transportation.
