Campus
build-out project ground breaking ceremony in Salinas, Nov. 1
SAN JOSÉ, Calif. (Oct. 18, 2004) - Unity Care Group, a non-profit
youth-development agency with offices in San José, Santa Cruz and
Monterey counties, is having a ground-breaking campus-build out ceremony
in Salinas on November 1, 2004.
With this campus build-out project we are hoping to improve our services
to the children in our care. We are going to improve the nearly-impassable
road leading to the campus, including grading for drainage, lighting the
road, and the creation of a 40-car parking lot. Given the fragile nature
of the population we serve, it is critical that our roads be usable and
safe and doing this will help emergency vehicles to reach us in times
of need. We will also build an all-purpose sports field, including a baseball
field and a Ropes Course field. All in all we are hoping to provide better
amenities for the educational and recreational development of the children.
Founded with the goal of developing educational and social programs to
enrich the lives of at-risk youth, Unity Care Group’s mission is
to provide quality youth programs for the purpose of creating healthier
communities through life-long partnerships
